1. noun The length of time a movie lasts. You can tell the movie was padded to get it to a 90-minute runtime.

2. noun The time during which a computer program is functioning or running. Something's going wrong in runtime. Should I open the task manager and close some other programs I have running?

3. adjective Pertaining to runtime on a computer. A: "Aw man, another runtime error!" B: "Would you just call IT already and have them look at your computer?"
