1. A cemetery. (A reference to headstones and monuments.) My wife and I went to book a plot of land in the marble orchard for when the time comes.

2. A yard or other area featuring many statues. The bizarre site on the outskirts of the city is a marble orchard where the visages and iconography of the former regime have been preserved in stone.

Every group or organization has members ("bad apples") whose words or actions negatively impact an entire group of people. A: "Jeremy is such a brat. He won't listen to a word I say, and he gets the other kids all riled up too!" B: "Well, you know what they say—there are bad apples in every orchard." I get that there are bad apples in every orchard, but when the CEO is one of them, the company is doomed.
