To be free from difficulties, obstacles, or challenges, as of one's progress or advancement. We should be there soon. Now that we're past the traffic jam, we'll have clear sailing ahead. Organizing the event was really stressful, but we actually had pretty clear sailing on the day. If we can just get the application approved, then we should have clear sailing from there.
