2. To cause someone to become greatly disturbed, agitated, or excited. In this usage, a noun or pronoun is used between "get" and "all." I know that eviction notice has gotten David all shook up. A: "Why's Nate acting so weird?" B: "Some beautiful new girl in his class has him all shook up." It's OK, honey. I know the accident has gotten you all shook up, but at least it was just a fender-bender.
