2. To cause someone to become nervous, confused, agitated, or overly excited. In this usage, a noun or pronoun is used between "get" and "in." I could tell the news got him in a tizzle, so I gave him a minute to regain his composure. Don't let their comments get you in a tizzle, Janet. A: "She just found out that her crush likes her back." B: "Ooh, that would get anyone in a tizzle."
