To remain unchanged from a time in the past, especially in an antiquated or obsolete way. ("Time warp" is sometimes hyphenated.) This town is so entrenched in its backwards ideals and moral values, like it's stuck in a time warp or something! There's nothing digital in the house—no computers, no smartphones, just a typewriter and a single rotary telephone. Talk about being stuck in a time-warp! Yikes, this school is stuck in a time warp. Did you see the ancient computers in each classroom?
