hard as a motherfucker

rude slang A phrase that usually follows a verb as an intensifier. Often abbreviated as "HAM." We lost because the other team went hard as a motherfucker from the opening face-off to the final buzzer—and we sure didn't. My parents will go hard as a motherfucker on me when they see I'm failing four classes. If I don't get my grades up, I'll be grounded for life! A: "Geez, you sure went HAM on that cheeseburger." B: "What, I'm starving!"

1. A despicable, detestable, or untrustworthy person. No, I won't lend him any money—that motherfucker still owes me 20 bucks! I'm done responding to your comments, you stupid motherfucker.
2. An extremely problematic or unpleasant thing or situation. The problem is this little motherfucker in the picture I just posted—it just won't fit in where the instructions say it should! I know it's a real motherfucker, but you've got to play ball with the banks, or they could repossess your home!
