A phrase used as an intensifier for the adjective that follows "and." Stop pressuring me—I'll leave when I'm good and ready! I want you boys to make sure that snitch is good and dead, you hear me? He can't be alive to testify on Monday! I refuse to put my star player back on the field until he's good and healthy!
