blooey

1. Used to indicate that something has completely failed or gone awry. Plans for the gala are all blooey—our chief donor backed out and took his millions with him. We really needed to regroup after our meeting with the CEO went blooey. Our project is officially blooey now that the budgets have been cut across the company.

2. slang Drunk. Do you remember last night at the bar at all? You were really blooey! Well, I must have been blooey if I got up and did karaoke at the bar last night! Help him get home, will ya? He started drinking whiskey, and now he's blooey.

go blooey

slang To go completely awry; to totally fail. Plans for the gala went blooey after our chief donor backed out and took his millions with him.
