1. verb, slang To strike someone in the head, especially deliberately. She beaned the man with an empty bottle after he tried groping her in the bar. The pitcher's wild throw beaned the batter, knocking him out cold. They're toddlers, so if they're not falling down and crying, they're beaning each other with some hard object and crying about that.
2. noun, slang One's head. He turned around and got clocked right on the bean by the corner of the cabinet. When you're 6'6" like I am, your bean takes a lot of abuse from archways and doorframes. Ouch, what are you doing? That ball of yours hit me right in the bean!
3. noun, slang One of the pads on the bottom of an animal's feet or toes, especially those of a dog or cat. I love my puppy's tiny little toe beans. For some reason they just totally melt my heart. Look at Fluffy's perfect pink beans! Isn't she just precious? Those toe beans aren't so cute when Rex is pawing you in the face at 6 AM, huh?
4. noun, vulgar slang The clitoris. Jenny said she wanted to get her bean pierced this weekend. Obviously, you can't tell Mom or she'll freak!

3. Cash or money. I don't have enough beans for that right now—can I pay you back tomorrow? Thanks to that big medical bill, I am all out of beans until I get paid on Friday. Who has the beans to pay for splashy car like that, though? Certainly not the average person!
4. Soybean contracts, as on the stock market. Are we selling these underperforming beans or what? A: "This guy made all his money on beans? Are you serious?" B: "What can I say, he's a savvy investor." You're a financial adviser—what sort of return can we expect on these beans, hmm?
