and a half

informal An intensifier used when something is more or worse than its normal state. This phrase is typically added after the noun it emphasizes, i.e. "a problem and a half." My little daughter is a handful and a half now that she's walking. You've got a problem and a half with your engine, and I don't think I can fix it. This show is a hoot and a half. My stomach hurt from laughing so hard during last week's episode.
