An extremely conservative political movement in the US. (Conservative political groups are traditionally referred to as "the Right," while liberal groups are known as "the Left.") Many views of the alternative right are considered radical by other Americans. Several politicians on the alternative right have begun calling for a total closure of the border to protect the jobs of the country's citizens. Nationalism is often a core principle of the alternative right.
