Two or more politicians campaigning together to take advantage of their combined voter appeal. Considering how polarizing this election season has been, it's hard to imagine a dream ticket for either party. The Democrats have put together a dream ticket for progressives, sure, but they still need to appeal to independents and moderates if they want to win. It's no dream ticket, but it's better than the alternative being offered by the other side.

1. If two people, for example politicians, are a dream ticket, they are expected to work well together and have a great deal of success. The move raised the prospect of a `dream ticket' of Tony Blair as leader and John Prescott as his deputy. It should have been Hollywood's dream ticket: husband and wife Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman starring together in a romantic blockbuster movie.
2. If an opportunity or a situation is a dream ticket, it is perfect. To design a Supercar remains an engineer's dream ticket. Note: In the United States, a ticket is a list of candidates that a political party has nominated for election. A `dream ticket' is a pair of candidates that seem to be perfectly matched and who will attract a lot of support.
