slang Any tool, implement, device, etc., the name for which one does not know, cannot remember, or is not bothered to say. Primarily heard in Ireland. So once the meter reaches about 80% capacity, you just flip that yoke on over there and it will start regulating the pressure automatically. A: "What is this yoke here for?" B: "That's a power coupler. Don't touch it." It looks like the signal is controlled by this joystick-looking yoke.

n. muscles; abdominal muscles. (see also yoked. Also seen as yolks. Possibly as if muscular shoulders can be seen as yokes of muscle.) Look at the yokes on that broad.
