bask in (something)
1. To lie in and allow oneself to be exposed to warmth, especially from the sun. I love lying on the beach and basking in the sunlight. Our dog loves to stretch across the living room rug and bask in the warmth of the fire. The cat's probably in the den—she loves basking in the sunbeams at this time of day.
2. By extension, to revel in something pleasant or enjoyable. She's still basking in the favorable reviews of her performance in the play. The child beamed as he basked in his parents' doting adoration. The boss had a lot of praise for my pitch today. I'm still basking in the glow of approval!
sunlight is the best disinfectant
Openness and transparency is the best way to eliminate nefarious behavior within an organization. The phrase is associated with US Supreme Court Justice Louis D. Brandeis. Forcing them to be open about their hiring practices will help to eliminate any behind-the-scenes discrimination. Sunlight is the best disinfectant, after all.
