small-boned

small-boned

1. Having a more diminutive bone structure than the average of one's demographic. Some people are naturally small-boned and have a slighter frame than their peers. Their youngest son was too small-boned and frail to work the farm.
2. euphemism Skinny, especially to an excessive or unnatural degree. Usually used as an explanation for one's size. Because I'm a size two, people assume I don't eat much, but that's not the case—I'm just small-boned.
