proverb Nefarious people will not harm those who act like them. Naturally, that jerk preys on kind people and leaves people like himself alone. Dog does not eat dog, I guess. Of course those two con artists shield each other from the police—dog does not eat dog, after all. Dog does not eat dog, of course. If they want to successfully rip someone off, they need to go after the nice people.
