nard guard

vulgar slang A piece of cushioning mounted to the stem or handlebars of a bicycle to protect a male's genitals in the event of a sudden stop or collision. "Nards" is a vulgar slang term for the testicles. Boy, good thing my bike still had a nard guard on it when I crashed, or I might have never had kids!

1. vulgar slang The testicles. I kicked the mugger in the nards and grabbed my wallet back. He grabbed his nards in a lewd gesture to the crowd.

2. vulgar slang Confidence, self-esteem, motivation, etc. Often but not always said of a man. You've got nards standing up to them like that, man. He doesn't have the nards to try a plan that bold.
