To become insatiably hungry so that one has the urge to continuously eat, especially snack foods. The term is often used to describe one of the stereotypical effects of marijuana use. When I get the munchies, I just can't stop eating—it's one snack after another. A: "Why did you buy five different kinds of potato chips?" B: "I don't know, I guess I got the munchies last night." If we smoke some weed, we're gonna get the munchies, so what do you have for us to eat?
