1. noun, vulgar slang A woman's breasts (always plural). Please stop commenting on the size of women's jugs. A lot of guys are obsessed with jugs, but I've always been more interested in a woman's legs.
2. noun, dated slang Prison (usually preceded by "the"). Didn't you hear? Tommy Two-Face wound up in the jug with a life sentence. The guy's been to the jug more often than I've been to the gym!
3. verb, dated slang To send someone to prison. I heard the police jugged him for trying to rob a liquor store. They said she was a threat to herself and others, but I think they jugged her because she was speaking out against the government.
jug ears
Ears that stick out markedly from the side of the head, thus resembling the handles of a jug. At first I thought his jug ears were pretty goofy-looking, but I've actually come to regard them as quite cute!
jug wine
informal Inexpensive wine sold in large amounts. I thought it was going to be a classy affair, so I was pretty taken aback when they started serving jug wine and cheap store-bought snacks. I love this restaurant. For just a few bucks you can get a big plate of food and a pitcher of jug wine.

Having ears that stick out markedly from the side of the head, thus resembling the handles of a jug. I was pretty goofy-looking as a kid, jug-eared, bespectacled, and lanky as I was.
jugged up
dated slang Drunk. Most of the crowd was already jugged up by noon. You could have made a lot more of yourself by now if you didn't spend every night getting jugged up with your friends.
put a/the plug in the jug
To become permanently sober; to give up intoxicants, especially alcohol. (Alludes to plugging up a jug of an alcoholic beverage.) I've always loved my dad, but he's become a much friendlier and sympathetic person since finally putting the plug in the jug. It took me waking up in a ditch and covered in vomit to realize that I needed to put a plug in the jug for good.
