instruct (someone) in (something)

To teach someone about something in particular (named after "in"). You need to instruct the temp in how to do the filing—otherwise, all this paperwork will be a mess when you get back from vacation. I wish I knew how to cook! I wish school had instructed us in practical skills like that instead of, I don't know, calculus! The kids have asked me to instruct them in driving now that they're old enough, but I can't bear the thought of being in the car with them!

to teach someone about something. Amy will instruct you in the way to hang paper. The manager instructed Ken in the best method of entering data into the computer.
