To persistently criticize, harass, or try to cause harm to one, especially due to a grudge. This is the third time in a row my professor has given me an F on my paper. I think he's got it in for me or something! I heard that Janet forced Tom to sell his shares in the business. I'd say he's got it in for her now. I didn't make the team! See, it's just like I told you—that coach's got it in for me!
