To be seeking opportunities or taking actions to punish, harm, or harass one in some way. I'm worried that one of my co-workers is out to get me—I think he really wants my job. The cops are out to get the guy who robbed the coffee shop. That man on the corner thinks the FBI is out to get him? Oh dear.
