grass

grass

slang
1. Marijuana. You need to do something more productive with your life than sitting around smoking grass all day. Hmm, smells like some people in here are getting high on grass. I could tell from his red eyes and goofy behavior that he had been smoking grass again.
2. Lettuce and similar greens. Typically used derogatorily. I'm too hungry to just eat grass. Can't we get steak or something to go with our salads? A: "No grass for me, thanks." B: "Come on, salad is good for you, honey." I don't know how you can eat a whole plate of grass like that. And without any dressing! Blech!
