give with something

give with (something)

1. To pass or hand something to someone. Give with the water, man—I'm thirsty! Hey, can you give with the sunscreen before I get scorched out here? Can someone at that end of the table give with the mashed potatoes?
2. To yield information to someone. If you know what's really going on here, you better give with the details. I can't give with anything because I honestly don't know why those two broke up. And why exactly would I just give with my scientific findings?
