get in(to) the swing of (something)

To become comfortable with something and begin to do it more efficiently or enjoyably. It's been a bit of an adjustment, to be sure, but I'm starting to get in the swing of working from home. I was just getting into the swing of data entry when my bosses reassigned me to a different project. I really didn't like golf when I first started out, but I'm starting to get into the swing of it—no pun intended!
