To have a very quick inspection or examination of someone or something. I finally got a look-see at Tom's new Corvette. That is one sweet automobile! A: "A patient just arrived with complaints of abdominal pains." B: "Hmm, I'd better go get a look-see." Dang, I meant to get a look-see at Korin's dryer before we left. I won't be able to diagnose the issue without seeing it for myself.
