foresight

foresight is better than hindsight

proverb It is better to anticipate and prevent future problems than to realize how they could have been avoided after the fact. If I were you, I would pay the extra $50 for full insurance coverage while you're traveling. You never know what might happen, and foresight is better than hindsight. Yes, foresight is better than hindsight, but you can only prepare for so much when the game is ultimately played by imperfect humans on a field. Why would you put off getting your car serviced for so long? Didn't your mother and I teach you that foresight is better than hindsight?

Hindsight is (always) easier than foresight.

proverb It is much harder to anticipate and prevent future problems than to simply realize how they could have been avoided after the fact. The company could have avoided such a catastrophic outcome had it put in the necessary time and resources, but hindsight is always easier than foresight. I know hindsight is always easier than foresight, but it doesn't take a genius to see that he shouldn't have had his brother as his legal counsel! You can't waste time beating yourself up for the signs you missed along the way. Hindsight is easier than foresight, after all.
