slang To inform or educate one about something. I have to drop some knowledge on you, man—if you keep being so reckless, you won't live to see tomorrow. We were having an argument about the pros and cons of the issue, when Terry came in and dropped some knowledge on us. There wasn't really much left to debate after that. I know you think you've got the system all figured out, but allow me to drop some knowledge on you real quick.
