slang To inform or educate (someone) about something. We were having an argument about the pros and cons of the issue, when Terry came in and just started dropping knowledge about it. There wasn't really much left to debate after that. I have to drop some knowledge on you, man—if you keep being so reckless, you won't live to see tomorrow. I know you think you've got the system all figured out, but allow me to drop some knowledge real quick.
