double digits

A phrase used to indicate a number between 10 and 99, or that set of numbers as a whole. The sales growth for that product was in the double digits this quarter. My daughter turns 10 this weekend, and I still can't believe I almost have a kid in double digits. A: "How many years has it been since you two saw each other?" B: "Oh, it's in the double digits, for sure."

n. the range of numerals from 10 though 99. When Billy moved into the double digits, he had some behavior problems, but when he was nineteen he sort of straightened out.
