Totally without musical talent, especially in singing. I think it's lovely that George wants to be in his church choir, but that boy can't carry a tune in a paper sack! Amber can't join our band—have you ever heard her sing? She can't carry a tune in a paper sack! I know I can't carry a tune in a paper sack, so I always audition to be a background dancer in our school plays.
