1. An exclamation of surprise. By jingo, that carriage nearly ran me down! By jingo, don't sneak up on me like that! Edward? By jingo, I haven't seen you around these parts in years!
2. Used as an intensifier. By jingo, we've solved the mystery! By jingo, I'm going to get to the bottom of this if it's the last thing I do! We don't have much to work with, but by jingo we're going to figure out a way to save our business!
