A sale or auction of all or the majority of someone's personal property. Most commonly done following a person's death. OK, if there is anything you want out of Grandma's house, be sure to go in and claim it now. Everything else is being sold at the estate sale next week. Wow, they sure sold everything but the curtains in that estate sale. He's been dead, what, an hour, and you're already planning the estate sale? Wow, you really can't get rid of his things fast enough, can you?
the Fifth Estate
The people and organizations that report the news outside of the mainstream news media, especially on Internet-enabled platforms such as blogs or social media, regarded as having an unofficial but palpable influence on politics and society as a whole. In an age when any Internet warrior can disseminate sensitive or classified information worldwide in an instant, the Fifth Estate has the potential to be used for either good or evil at any given moment.
the Fourth Estate
The people and organizations that report the news, or news journalism as a whole, regarded as having palpable but unofficial political influence. One must never forget the sway held by members of the Fourth Estate—if we want public support, then we need the press on our side.
wheel estate
informal Any portable living quarters, such as a mobile home, RV, camper van, etc. A pun on the phrase "real estate." Tom and I always said that we would move into our wheel estate when we retired, so we could spend our twilight years traveling around the country. A growing number of people are shunning traditional properties, instead opting for "wheel estate" that they can relocate as they see fit.

the fourth estate
the press; the profession of journalism. The three traditional Estates of the Realm (the Crown, the House of Lords, and the House of Commons) are now viewed as having been joined by the press, which is regarded as having equal power. As early as 1843 Lord Macaulay stated: ‘The gallery in which the reporters sit has become a fourth estate of the realm’.
