Someone who thinks, speaks, or acts in an aberrant, perverse, sadistic, or gruesome manner. You'd have to be a sick puppy to enjoy a movie as graphic and brutal as that. Whoever did this to these poor animals is one sick puppy, all right. Did you hear about that gruesome murder? Man, whoever did that is one sick puppy.

To look at someone with a pleading facial expression featuring wide, sad eyes and raised eyebrows. Typically used as a means of persuasion. So-called because of dogs' propensity for giving such looks. A: "Please can I get a doll today, Grandma?" B: "No, and stop making puppy dog eyes. They won't work on me!" Sam makes those puppy dog eyes at girls, and they just instantly fall in love with him!
Puppy Bowl
A TV program that airs on Animal Planet on the afternoon of Super Bowl Sunday. Puppies play on a mock football field, and kittens take the field for the "Kitten Halftime Show." The animals shown are usually available for adoption. Who cares about the Super Bowl—when is Puppy Bowl on?

Deposits of fat that are present in babies and young children but that usually disappear as they grow older. He still had puppy fat in his cheeks as he entered adolescence, which made him appear much younger than he really was. It gives her aunties and uncles no end of delight to pinch the bits of puppy fat around her cheeks and arms.

A state of short-lived infatuation or romantic attraction among children or adolescents. Puppy love is starting to bloom among many of my fifth-graders.

A juvenile crush, an infatuation. The phrase refers to an adolescent male's total devotion to the object of his affection by displaying the uncritical ardor of a young dog to its owner. “Mooning over” and “calf eyes” are apt phrases for such an affliction. The 1960s teen singing idol Neil Sedaka had a hit record of a song by that name.
