jump out of (something)

To exit or emerge from something very quickly or abruptly. I jumped out of the shower and ran to answer the telephone. Everyone jumped out of the pool when hailstones started falling down on top of them. Security footage shows the defendant jumping out of the car and attacking the plaintiff.
