1. In a printed form, typically in a published work. Wow, my first published article! It feels so good to see my name in print. Can you believe that fake article was in print in the renowned scientific journal for more than a week? I thought that manuscript was in print. What caused the delay?
2. Currently available from a publisher. The book is still in print 30 years after being first published. I'm afraid that title is no longer in print, but you might be able to find a used copy. You know, if that book's not in print anymore, I wonder if the library has it.

1. In printed or published form, as in You can find this information in print. This usage dates from the late 1400s, almost from the time of the first printing press.
2. Offered for sale by a publisher, as in The library has a list of all the books in print. The antonym for this usage is out of print, describing material no longer offered for sale by a publisher, as in Most of his books are out of print. [Late 1800s]
