hump (one's) bluey

slang A "bluey" is a bundle of goods carried by a vagrant or traveler. Primarily heard in Australia.
1. To live as a vagrant. Have you saved up any money? If you lose this job, you'll be humping your bluey before you know it! If the stock market crashes, will we have to hump our bluey? I know my parents would never let me hump my bluey, but I don't want to be dependent on them either.
2. To carry one's belongings on one's back. Primarily heard in New Zealand. Aren't there any attendants who can help us with this luggage? They don't honestly expect us to hump our bluey, do they? I need to take some things out of this bag. It's way too heavy, and I know I'll have to hump my bluey at least part of the way. I had to hump my bluey all the way from the bus station, so my back is killing me!
