1. Very excited about or thrilled by something. I'm thrilled that the boss seems high on my idea for this year's charity auction. I know the potholes are a nuisance, but I'm still not high on this idea to shut down a major road for weeks. If Mom's not high on the idea of making your curfew later, you're doomed.
2. Intoxicated, usually due to drug use. Yeah, we got high on some pot before the concert. No, we don't do any of those hard drugs—we were just high on pot, I swear! A: "I haven't seen your brother today." B: "Well, then he probably cut class to get high on weed with his stoner friends."
