To seek out or prepare some food to eat, especially a snack or a small meal that can be consumed quickly. Let's get a bite to eat before we head out on the road. A: "Do you want me to save you some dinner?" B: "No, I got a bite to eat in town earlier, so I'm fine." Any chance I can get a quick bite to eat before this next meeting?
