be disgusted at (someone or something)

To be appalled by or intensely disappointed with someone or something. I am totally disgusted at you for stealing money out of my purse. Why would you do something so sneaky? We are utterly disgusted at the actions of this company. They lied to our faces while continuing to dump toxic chemicals into our water supply. I'm very disgusted at my opponent—I've been trying to maintain a fair and respectable campaign, but he has no problem blatantly lying about me!

A name commonly applied to someone who writes in to a newspaper to express anger, usually related to their passionate conservative views on politics. Tunbridge Wells is an English town that was viewed as old-fashioned in the early 20th century. Primarily heard in UK. A: "The editors says we've got another letter from Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells. B: "OK, what are they going on about this time?" Just file that letter to the editor in the "Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells" folder over there. We hear from many a Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells—how can we respond to all of them?
