dance up a storm

To dance vigorously and enthusiastically, typically during a certain period of time. You guys sure danced up a storm at the wedding last night—no wonder you're exhausted! Once the kids get some sugar in them, you know they'll dance up a storm at the birthday party. The players started dancing up a storm on the sidelines as the clock ticked down and they realized they were going to win the Super Bowl.

To talk vigorously, enthusiastically, and profusely. I didn't get a chance to ask her about that because she was talking up a storm the whole night. A: "How did you and John get along?" B: "You were right, we have so much in common! We talked up a storm the whole time we were together."
