1. To give up one's job or abandon one's former way of living, especially to pursue new experiences or opportunities. I heard Sarah chucked it all up to go traveling around the world. If this company doesn't start making money soon, I think we'll have to chuck it all up and try something else. I didn't want to drop out of college, but I had to chuck it all up and focus on the baby I was about to have.
2. slang To regurgitate the contents of one's stomach; to vomit everything that one has just eaten. I told him he shouldn't eat a double cheeseburger and large fries before going on a roller coaster. Sure enough, he chucked it all up the moment he stepped off the ride. Geez, I thought I was going to chuck it all up out on that boat—I felt so seasick! A: "The rookie saw blood for the first time and chucked it all up right there at the crime scene." B: "Geez, he's gonna need a stronger stomach for this line of work."
