To do, accomplish, or undertake something as promised, intended, or instructed. We're carrying through on our plan to have the restructuring of the company completed by the end of the year. You need to carry through on your promises, or else they won't trust you. Tell him he has got to carry through on this assignment, or it will be the end of his career.
