To avoid or be neglectful of one's work or duties. Everyone knows that Ed's a goldbricker, so I'm not surprised he didn't finish that project like you asked him to. Come on, now, don't be a goldbricker. You were given a job, so you need to see it through! Sure, I'd rather be a goldbricker than go to work, but I do need to get paid.
