Automatically or as part of a routine or policy. As a matter of course, you must complete your final project in order to receive a passing grade in this class. I lock my car doors as a matter of course whenever I get out of my car—I hardly even notice that I do it anymore. I can't believe I forgot to put my rings on today. I usually do that as a matter of course when I'm getting dressed in the morning.
