be down

1. To feel sad, depressed, dejected, or generally unwell. Usually used with mitigators or intensifiers, such as "a bit," "really," "rather," "so," etc. I got some bad news this morning, so I'm a bit down at the moment. You didn't do that poorly on the exam, don't be so down! He's been down ever since he found out he didn't get the job.
2. slang To be ready, willing, eager, accepting, or in agreement (to do something). A: "We're going for pizza later. You want in?" B: "Yeah, I'm down." I'm down to play a quick game of soccer if you are. We've been at this for hours. I'm down for a break, how about you?
