Roy G. Biv

A mnemonic device for the names and sequence of the colors of the rainbow: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. Based on the pronunciation of the acronym "ROYGBIV." A: "Dang it, I always forget about indigo and violet when I try to think of the colors of the rainbow." B: "Just remember Roy G. Biv!"

Siegfried and Roy

offensive slang In card games, especially poker, a pair of queens. A derogatory reference to the famous pair of magicians and entertainers. I went all in with Siegfried and Roy but got beat by pocket aces.

Siegfried and Roy

n. [in poker] a pair of queens. (Refers to the three-decade-long Las Vegas show performed by Siegfried Fischbacher and Roy Horn who raised tigers and lions in their home until Roy was bitten by a tiger onstage. See queen.) He’s holding a Siegfried and Roy.
