You ask me, I ask who?

A set phrase used as a response when one is asked a question the answer to which one does not know. The phrase is most commonly used in the colloquial English spoken in Singapore. It is a loan translation (calque) of the Chinese phrase ????,???? (ni wen wo, wo wen shei). A: "How do I fix the engine?" B: "You ask me, I ask who? I don't know the first thing about cars!"
