To perform one's mental or physical duties or activities amid or alongside particular people, things, or animals. I was very fortunate to be able to work among some of the finest lawyers in the entire country during my internship with the firm. One of the most exciting things about my PhD is being able to work among the fossils of creatures that walked the Earth over 65 million years ago. I've been working among the endangered wildlife in these jungles for over a decade now.
